Biography

Onur Altıparmak was born in Yalova in 1985. He completed his primary education in Antalya. He gained admission to ATSO Anatolian Fine Arts High School after passing the entrance exam for high schools. He continued his education at this school until the second year. In 2000, he won the third prize in the piano competition organized by the Edirne Rotary Club and passed the exams for the Piano Department of Trakya University State Conservatory, starting his education at this school from the second year of high school onwards. During his second and third years of high school, he studied piano with Associate Professor Olga Hasanova. In his undergraduate education, he furthered his studies with Professor Vasıf Hasanov. In 2005, he transferred to Anadolu University State Conservatory and completed his piano education under the guidance of Assistant Professor Hale Vural. He graduated as the top student from the Faculty of Fine Arts, State Conservatory, and Department of Music (Piano Art Major) of Anadolu University. In the same year (2009), he started working as a correpetitor at Antalya State Opera and Ballet as a contracted employee. In 2013, he successfully passed the permanent position exam conducted by the General Directorate of State Opera and Ballet and began working as an Orchestra Pianist and Correpetitor at Samsun Opera and Ballet Directorate. He served as the Chief Correpetitor between 2013 and 2021. In 2021, he transferred to Antalya State Opera and Ballet Directorate. Mr. Altıparmak currently continues his duties as an Orchestra Pianist and Correpetitor at Antalya State Opera and Ballet.
The artist has coached more than 50 operas, operettas, musicals, and other productions, including Tosca, The Un ballo in maschera, Rigoletto, Il Trovatore, Carmen, I Pagliacci, Cavalleria Rusticana, La Bohème, and The Marriage of Figaro, and realized 5 World Premieres. Additionally, the artist has a piano-vocal arrangement book titled 'Turkish Folk Song Arrangements for Piano and Singing' released in 2018, and a work titled 'Seyyah.'
