NAZLI İKTU
Born in Berlin. After the primary education, she studied piano at Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory and finished its high school department. Therefore she studied at the Opera Department of the University and graduated. She completed her postgraduate education at the same department. For a year she taught part-time students at the same school. She acted as 'Louisa' in the musical 'The Sound Of Music' (R.Rodgers), as 'Tuptim' in 'The King and I' (R.Rodgers/O.Hammerstein II) and as 'Jouvenot' in the opera 'Adriana Lecouvreur' (F.Cilea) at İstanbul State Opera and Ballet. In 1998, she joined İstanbul State Opera as 'Assistant Director'. She worked with domestic and foreign directors on many stage works to date. Aside from being assistant director, she also staged the children's musicals called 'The Wizard of Oz' (E.Thomas) and 'Die Bremerstatmusikanten' and the operas 'The Telephone' (G.C.Menotti) and 'La Voix Humaine'(F.Poulenc).
