CANER AKGÜN
Education
He was born in Zonguldak-TURKEY in 1981.He started his musical studies in Culture Ministry PolyphonicYouth Choir in 1999.He began his opera studies at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory in 2001.He studied Vocal Technic with Prof.Mustafa Yurdakul and Eralp Kıyıcı and he finished Conservatory in 2008 June.
Workshops
He did workshop with Prof.Helge Dorsch in 2005-2006 April,2007 May,he studied on Mozart arias with Helge Dorsch.
He participated in workshop of Lied Tedesco in Terni-İtalia.He studied with Elio Battaglia(İnterpretation) and Lucio Gallo.(Vocal Technic).In this workshop he studied on lied of Gustav Mahler.
In 2006-2008 July he studied with Elio Battaglia in Salzburg Mozarteum Academy.
Prizes
He won the third prize in the Professional Vocal Competition in 2006 May in Ankara-Turkey.
He got honourable mention in Sedat-Güzin Gürel Art and Science Association Lied Competition in 2007 February in İstanbul-Turkey.
In 2007 April he became third in Siemens Opera Competition in İstanbul-Turkey.
He participated finalist concert of International Opera Competition of Maria Kraja in Tirana-Albania November 2007.
He won the second prize in the Young Opera Singer Competition of Turkey in 2008 April in İzmir-Turkey.
Performances
He performed Barone Douphol (La Traviata),Dancairo (Carmen),Dottore Malatesta (Don Pasquale), Papageno(Die Zauberflöte) 2007-2009 period in İstanbul National Opera House.
