Biography
Ezgi Bağlan was born in Antalya in 1986. In 1997, she was accepted into the Viola Department of Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, where she became a student of Prof. Betil Başeğmezler. Between 2004 and 2007, she worked with many different conductors and soloists within the Hacettepe Academic Symphony Orchestra, participating in concerts and tours with the orchestra. Over the years, she had the opportunity to work with Prof. Tatjana Masurenko and Prof. Vladimir Bukac in masterclasses and workshops she attended.
In the 2006-2007 academic year, she was selected for the Erasmus program and completed her final year of conservatory education at the Conservatorio Di Musica Santa Cecilia in Rome. There, she studied viola with Prof. Massimo Paris and participated in various chamber music and orchestra projects within the school. After completing her education in Rome, she returned to Türkiye and graduated from Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory.
Between July and September 2007, she took part in the National Youth Symphony Orchestra's activities as an assistant section leader and participated in many concerts and tours with this orchestra. From November 2007 to January 2011, she continued her orchestral work as a guest artist with the Antalya State Symphony Orchestra. In 2009, she participated in the activities of the International Chamber Ensemble in Rome, giving numerous concerts.
She completed her viola specialization studies with Prof. Massimo Paris at the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome for three years between 2008-2011 and with Prof. Antonello Farulli at the Fiesole School of Music in Florence for two years between 2014-2016.
Since September 2012, Ezgi Bağlan has been working as an orchestra artist with the Antalya State Opera and Ballet Orchestra.
