Haruna Takeda, born on June 27, 1999, is a talented Japanese ballerina. Standing at 1.60 meters tall and weighing 43 kilograms, Takeda's professional journey began in 2018 at the Seoul Ballet Theatre, where she honed her skills until 2020. Subsequently, between 2020 and 2023, she became an integral part of the KK Art Project, working under the guidance of director Kiyoko Kimura. In 2023, she embarked on a new chapter by joining the Antalya State Opera and Ballet. In 2021, Takeda won third place in the Professional Category at the Sibiu Dance Competition, first place at Europe in Dance Grand Prix, and first place in the Professional Category at the IDTCI International Dance Talent Competition in Italy.
In 2018, Takeda performed as the Moore doll, Snowflakes soloist, Chinese, and Waltz of Flowers in 'The Nutcracker.' During 2019-2020, she appeared in roles such as in 'A Midsummer Night's Dream,' 'Dancing Museum,' Blue Tutu Ballerina, 'Romeo and Juliet' (choreographed by Lee Na Hyong), corps de ballet in 'The Nutcracker,' Columbine doll, among others. In 2020-2021, she performed 'Square' choreographed by Masa Kolar, in 2022, 'Le Sacre du Printemps' by Masa Kolar, 'Dream' by Kosuke Yamamoto, 'The Place to Be Back and to Leave' by Takuya Sato, 'Holberg Variation' by Kosuke Yamamoto, 'Wanderers' by Dimo Milev, and 'Ricordi come il vento' by Young Soon-Hue. In 2023, she performed 'Le Sacre du Printemps' choreographed by Masa Kolar, 'Dance with Beethoven' by Carlos Valcarcel, and 'Ave Verum Corpus' by Uwe Scholz. In 2024, she appeared in 'The Nutcracker' and 'Giselle.'
Takeda began her ballet training in 2004 under the tutelage of Tomoe Kishi at the Tokyo Ballet. In 2009, she won the Red Shoes Prize at the Yokohama Competition. Between 2010 and 2014, she was a finalist in various ballet competitions in Japan and received special awards. In 2015, she won second place at the Japan Ballet Competition and was accepted into the Kirov Ballet Academy in Washington, D.C., and the Staatsballet Berlin. That same year, she placed seventh at the Namue Ballet Competition and attended the Hans Meister Intensive Summer Training in Switzerland. Between 2016 and 2018, she achieved rankings and received scholarships in various ballet competitions. In 2018, she trained under Kiyoko Kimura and attended the art summer course in Zurich. In 2021, she won third place in the professional category at the Sibiu Dance Competition, first place at Europe in Dance Grand Prix, and first place at the IDTCI International Dance Talent Competition in Italy.
